Beloved Hawaiian-style barbecue brand Mo’Bettahs launched its second Las Vegas location at 4390 West Cactus Avenue nearly a year ago, on December 1, 2023—the brand’s overall 48th location.

“We’re thrilled to be back here so soon, opening another Mo’Bettahs location in Las Vegas,” said Mo’Bettahs cofounder Kimo Mack in a statement quoted by What Now at the time. “It’s exciting to be planting deep roots in this community, which really appreciates an authentic taste of Hawaii. Whether you’re in the northern or southern sections of the city, you’re not far from the Mo’ Bettahs grindz and aloha spirit!”

Those roots appear to getting deeper as now, just before the first anniversary of the opening, What Now found building permit paperwork submitted to Clark County for a Mo’Bettahs location at 4065 S Buffalo Drive, near the intersection with Flamingo Road. The paperwork is for a tenant improvement with a contract valuation of $700,000.

The Mo’Bettahs menu features plates in several sizes, allowing guests to choose two or three of the brand’s Hawaiian style barbecue dishes, served with rice and macaroni salad. These protein choices include Teriyaki Chicken, Kalua Pig, Katsu Chicken, Teriyaki Steak, and Shrimp Tempura. Each plate comes with either Teriyaki Sauce or Katsu Sauce.

What Now reached out to Mo’Bettahs CEO Rob Ertman on Wednesday to ask about plans for another Mo’Bettahs location opening in the valley. Ertman was not immediately available for comment.
