Philly Freeze-Me, home of the non-dairy frozen treat called the FreezeMe Jawn, will soon launch a brick-and-mortar restaurant location in the Arts District, at 1021 S Main Street, Suite 100.
“We offer a variety of flavors that are dairy free, gluten free, cholesterol free and vegan friendly,” owner Chase Corbin told What Now on Thursday. “Our new location will offer a dine in option as well as have outdoor seating and entertainment. We also display hand painted art work by different local artists on our walls.”
But hold on a minute, you might be saying. What’s a “Jawn”?
The Philly Freeze-Me website clears this up:
Jawn: n., informal, chiefly Philadelphia – something or someone for which the speaker does not know or does not need a specific name.
There are FreezeMe Jawn flavors like Grape, Lemond, Blue Raspberry, Salted Caramel, Cotton Candy, and others. Then there are FreezeMe Spiked Jawns like Ciroc Pineapple, Henny Mango, and Tequila Pineapple. Then there are FreezeMeSpecialty Jawns like the Juneteenth, the Spicy Sweet Mango, and the Sin City.
“We’re going to be have big screen TV’s, outdoor entertainment, cornhole, Connect 4—that sort of thing,” Corbin told What Now.
Philly Freeze-Me’s new location (it used to be found at 855 E Twain Ave, Ste 11) will be joining a restaurant community that includes Audio Bar and Taverna Costera.
