Located at 3969 S Maryland Pkwy, Restaurant El Rey is a “laid-back restaurant serving authentic Mexican eats such as burritos enchiladas, and tacos, plus breakfast options.”

“We are a small business with authentic Mexican food,” says a description provided by Restaurant El Rey to Google Maps (translation ours). “We invited you to try our rich dishes in an agreeable atmosphere.”

The local restaurant has met with success in its current home, and now it’s preparing to expand to a second restaurant. Licensing paperwork submitted to the City of Las Vegas shows Restaurant El Rey #2 opening at 1723 E Charleston Blvd, across from the East Charleston Plaza shopping center.

What Now confirmed news of the second location’s opening with owner Mariela Moreno on Thursday. Moreno said no opening date has been established yet for the opening, declining to comment further at this time. (Stay tuned as What Now awaits further info.)
