Master chef Po Fai Lam, the award-winning chef behind Las Vegas favorite Chinglish Cantonese Wine Bar is preparing to launch another new culinary concept here in the valley. Opening at 600 Fremont Street in the newly revamped El Cortez Hotel and Casino early next year, Hot Noods will feature some of the best noodles in town.
“From Hong Kong to Beijing to San Francisco, Chef Lam has wowed diners with incredible tasting food for more than 45 years,” says ChinglishRestaurants.com. “His talent and those flavors have now arrived in Las Vegas.”
“It’s going to be a mixture of noodle soups, pan fired noodle dishes, beer, and sake bombs,” co-owner Ken Heck told What Now on Friday. “Chef Lam and his family have been putting out amazing food at Chinglish, and now we’re adding a party to the food.”
There will be a wine and sake list, but Heck says the vibes will be those of a “beer, sake bomb, and Asian noodle joint.”
The opening comes as El Cortez finishes up an update that Heck calls “incredible.”
“They’ve been developing the gaming floor with all digital slots and two new bars going in. They’re really rebranding the casino, and I think we’re meant to be a big part of that. The idea is that when the party is on but you need a bite to eat, you can eat something and keep the party going.”
