Thunderbird Plaza on Las Vegas Blvd will soon be home to a new neighborhood bar, Tommy’s Bar & Grill.

Owner Ravi Thakur, owner also of XO Liquor, a liquor store located in the same plaza, confirmed the news in a noontime phone call with What Now Las Vegas on Tuesday.

“It’s going to be a small, neighborhood dining place,” Thakur said, describing a comfortable bar where guests can enjoy familiar bar comfort foods and finger foods like burgers, fries, chicken tenders, and more.

Thakur also suggested that, circumstances permitting, the bar may be open 24 hours a day.

The tavern will occupy suites 101-102 of the plaza, which is located at 3603 Las Vegas Blvd N. In addition to XO Liquor and the upcoming bar and grill, it is also home to Taqueria del Paisano and Ministerio Mahanaim, a small local church. The plaza is located across Las Vegas Blvd from Golden Market and Hitchin’ Post Saloon.

Many of the details about Tommy’s Bar & Grill are still being worked out, Thakur said, and the tavern is currently going through the licensing process. It is projected to open in April 2022.
