Downtown Santa Monica to Host First-Ever Oktoberfest
Downtown Santa Monica will host its first-ever Oktoberfest, bringing the spirit of Bavaria to the city. From vibrant beer steins to immersive German music, the one-day event is geared to amaze attendees.

Downtown Santa Monica’s latest event is scheduled for Saturday, September 27. Guests from Santa Monica and surrounding areas can attend from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The venue of the debut Oktoberfest is Third Street Promenade, Santa Monica, CA 90401. Attendees can enjoy beverages, live performances, and themed activities along the 1200 block of Third Street Promenade. Bavarian-inspired décor will extend across all three blocks of the venue.
Visitors can enjoy Oktoberfest for free, but registration is necessary.
Major Attractions at the Event
Live music highlights include a performance by the Zeitgeist Oktoberfest Band, who will kick off the festivities. The band will kick off the German celebration and lead traditional games. High-energy sets from Partydoktor Tom und die Sauerkrauts will keep the celebration lively.
Downtown Santa Monica festivities will also entertain with polka dances, themed photo ops, a kids’ play zone, and Oktoberfest games.
Festival attendees purchasing drinks at the Entertainment Zone locations can get a complimentary reusable Oktoberfest stein (while supplies last). The participating businesses at the Entertainment Zone are Barney’s Beanery, Cabo Cantina, 1212 Santa Monica, Holey Moley, Ugo Santa Monica, and Pickle Pop.
A community partner at the September event is the German American Club of Santa Monica. Some local exhibitors, such as Goethe-Institut Los Angeles and Fred Fitness, are also its partners.
