Chinese Taste serves a variety of traditional Chinese dishes. However, the restaurant is now temporarily closed due to failing a health inspection.

The inspecting officer noticed poor condition of the floor, walls, and ceilings in the premises. The nonfood-contact surfaces were not cleaned and sanitized thoroughly, and some kitchen equipment required immediate repair.

The restaurant failed to show a valid food safety certificate to the inspecting officer. During the inspection, it was observed that the facility had an infestation of insects and rodents. The restaurant did not provide accurate thermometers to the staff in the prep area. Without accurate thermometers, staff may be unable to ensure safe food temperatures.

The restaurant needs to provide adequate lighting and ventilation, as per the inspection report. The premises also need to undergo vermin-proofing along with proper cleaning of food contact surfaces. Inadequate handwashing facilities and sinks posed a hygiene issue at the restaurant.

As the restaurant had to face closure, the listed violations need to be addressed at the earliest. As of this report, a follow-up inspection date has not been announced.
