Los Angeles County Chinese Restaurant Cited for Multiple Violations After Inspection

The County of Los Angeles Public Health performed a health inspection at Wok Express on November 19. Based on their observations, health officials prepared the report for the Chinese facility. Among the highlighted issues, signs of vermin resulted in a temporary closure of Wok Express.

Wok Express is known for its selection of Chinese menu items, including Shrimp Fried Rice and Mongolian Chicken. The official inspection report noted the following violations:

  • According to the report, Wok Express violated the health department’s regulations regarding the presence of insects, birds, and animals at L.A. food facilities.
  • The report also listed impoundment, voluntary disposal, and sampling of food items.
  • Wok Express was cited for inadequate ventilation and lighting in designated areas.
  • The report mentions food in good, safe, and unadulterated conditions was not followed.
