The hotel’s dining facility serves a variety of meals and beverages to both guests and local residents. However, on May 20, the four-star hotel could not show ideal results during a food safety inspection by the County of Los Angeles Public Health. Based on the nature of the violations, food inspectors ordered the shutdown of the dining area at the Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel.
Inspection Findings at Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel
Food inspectors of the County of Los Angeles Public Health noted multiple health violations at the LA-based food facility. They noted that the utensils used at the Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel were not clean and needed repair.
The officials also highlighted the issue of vermin infestation at the food establishment. Moreover, the Hollywood Way-based facility did not follow vermin-proofing methods either.
The officials of the County of Los Angeles Public Health also noted improper backflow devices at the Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel.
Apart from these issues, the floors, walls, and ceiling of the LA food establishment needed repair. The non-food-contact surfaces were also found to be dirty and in a state of disrepair.
The County of Los Angeles Public Health has not announced a date for a follow-up inspection at the Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel. However, the Hollywood Way-based establishment must take corrective action to be prepared for any reinspection in the coming months.
