The County of Los Angeles Public Health carried out its regular restaurant inspections on Tuesday. Out of these, Mo-Mo-Paradise, Wow Cow Korean Barbecue, and Good Stuff Burgers were cited for food code violations. All three were also temporarily closed due to vermin issues.

This Japanese restaurant in Rowland Heights is known for shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, and wagyu dishes. However, it was temporarily closed on Tuesday due to the many violations.
Inspectors noted the presence of insects and rodents at the restaurant. Mo-Mo-Paradise had poor conditions of floors, ceilings, and walls.
The food contact surfaces at the Japanese eatery lacked sanitation measures. Toxic substances without proper labels were stored at the restaurant. The health officials found rodents in the eatery’s food prep area.
Food inspectors noted inadequate ware-washing facilities at the L.A.-based food facility. A lack of vermin control was highlighted at the Japanese establishment.

Wow Cow Korean Barbecue

Wow Cow Korean Barbecue was cited by the officials of the County of Los Angeles Public Health over several violations, including vermin.
The floors and ceilings at the BBQ spot had poor maintenance. The on-site inspectors found that some ware-washing supplies were missing as well. They observed the presence of insects at the establishment.
The food storage containers didn’t have labels at the BBQ food facility. Food inspectors noted improper backflow devices at the L.A. establishment. Employees kept their personal items in the food prep area. Unapproved equipment and utensils were found as well.

Good Stuff Burgers

The burger spot has been around for 46 years, drawing locals for grilled chicken Caesar, burgers, fries, and more. Good Stuff Burgers was cited for the many food safety violations this week.
The food contact surfaces at the hamburger place lacked a food safety certification. Dirty nonfood-contact surfaces and the presence of rodents were listed by the county officials.
Good Stuff Burgers maintained the wrong hot and cold food holding temperatures. The walls and ceilings were in poor condition at the L.A. food establishment. Employees at the burger spot were found using unapproved utensils and equipment.
The on-site inspectors noted an impoundment of unsanitary food/equipment.
