Erewhon Market will open a new store at 339 N. Beverly Dr. in Beverly Hills, the grocery store company’s chief development officer confirmed with What Now Los Angeles on Tuesday. The space had been occupied by Williams-Sonoma until earlier this year.

Erewhon’s lease with the city, which is the landlord for the property, is for about 11,100 square feet. The upscale natural foods grocer expects to open at the site around the middle of next year, according to Yuval Chiprut, Erewhon’s development chief.

“We’re super excited to be in Beverly Hills,” he said. “I think we’ve hit a home run.”

Just north of Rodeo Drive, the space is right now on pace to be Erewhon’s eight location. It currently has six stores – including in Calabasas, Venice, and Santa Monica – and is opening a new location in Studio City in the next two months.

In Beverly Hills, Erewhon is building into the structure two dedicated, direct-access elevators leading to and from 60 assigned parking spaces in the basement levels of the building.

And, like some other Erewhon stores, the one in Beverly Hills will have a pizza oven, Chiprut said.

“And our pizza is absolutely delicious.”
