An affiliate of production company The Post Group has filed plans to develop a seven-story, 82-unit mixed-use hotel and apartment project in Hollywood, according to a planning case posted by the city of Los Angeles.
The proposed project would rise at the northwestern corner of the intersection of De Longpre Avenue and North Cahuenga Boulevard and is being led through applicant and owner 1415 Cahuenga LLC, a company state business filings show is managed by Post Group owner Matthew Cooper. Currently holding a two-story commercial building that would be demolished under proposed project plans, the project site was acquired in March for about $8.5 million, according to Los Angeles County property records.
Designs for the proposed building are being led by Hawkins\Brown Architects.
Rising to a maximum height of 106 feet, the approximately 103,000-square-foot development would contain 55 studio apartments, 20 one-bedrooms, and seven two-bedrooms, along with 100 hotel rooms. Plans also call for 6,100 square feet of ground-floor retail and restaurant space, according to planning documents.
The developer, which is seeking approvals for a 35-percent density bonus, would reserve 10 units for very low-income households, plans show.
The project would provide 160 automobile parking spaces across four subterranean levels, as well as space for 98 bicycles.
Plans also call for approximately 9,225 square feet of open space, including a third-level courtyard and a rooftop amenity space with a pool, spa, and lounging areas.
That’s crazy. It would need at least double the parking spaces.
