The Los Angeles Office of Zoning Administration has approved plans for a new four-story, 30-unit eldercare facility in North Hollywood, according to a determination letter posted this month by the city.
The proposed project is being led by applicant and owner Behrohk Tabibian of Better Home 2018 LLC and will take shape at 6401 Camellia Avenue, replacing a single-family home at the northwestern corner of Camellia Avenue’s intersection with Victory Boulevard.
Plans call for an approximately 13,700-square-foot, 50-foot-tall development with a variety of senior housing units. The community will contain six dwelling units for senior independent living and 24 guest rooms: 18 for assisted-living care and six memory care units.
Designs for the North Hollywood plans are being led by project architect HRD Arch Inc.
The project will also include common open space such as an 860-square-foot multipurpose area on the second floor, two 750-square-foot roof decks, and a 400-square-foot open space area in a rear yard.
The development will provide nine parking spaces on its first floor.
