The Los Angeles planning department has given approvals to plans for a seven-story, 44-unit apartment project proposed for the site of a surface parking lot in the Koreatown neighborhood, according to a determination letter filed by the city last week.
The applicant and owner behind the plans is registered at the address of Jamison Properties, the development arm of the Jamison organization, state business filings show.
Plans call for a 29,000-square-foot, 85-foot-tall apartment building with seven studio units and 37 one-bedrooms at 715 S. Mariposa Ave. The community would include six levels of apartments above a a two-level parking garage with 22 automobile spaces.
Approvals include Tier-3 project incentives under the city’s Transit Oriented Communities Incentives Program, including a density bonus and reduction in required open space.
Joining Jamison in the project are architect DFH Architects and landscape architect SQLA, while the project representative is listed as Allen Park.
The development will also provide 42 bicycle spaces, as well as a landscaped rooftop common area and balconies for residents, plans show.
