The West Los Angeles Sawtelle Neighborhood Council’s planning and land use committee on Tuesday will discuss recently withdrawn plans for a nine-story, 127,983-square foot mixed-use building, its Tuesday evening meeting agenda shows.
Proposed in December 2018, plans were withdrawn last summer by project applicant and property owner Gillis Family Partnership, planning records show. The neighborhood council has asked the project applicant to contact it in advance of future applications for the 71,280-square-foot Olympic Boulevard site. Application filings show the site’s existing two-story building has been used as office space.
Plans for the site originally called for 83,075-square feet of rentable research & development laboratory office space along with 15,684-square-feet of ground-floor retail.
Gillis, which county records show purchased the property for $45 million in September 2018, was joined by project architect Belzberg Architects, along with project representative three6ixty, a Culver City-based consulting firm.
