East End Capital has presented its plans for a roughly 75,000-square-foot office and soundstage project in Glendale, according to materials on file with the city’s Design Review Board from a meeting earlier this month.

Under its proposed plans, East End Capital would demolish seven buildings at 1221 – 1239 S. Glendale Ave. to make way for a three-story office building facing Glendale Avenue and containing a pair of one-story soundstages. Designs for the project, which is named East End Studios, are being led by Relativity Architects and also involve landscape architect CJM::LA, plans show.

Headquartered in New York, East End Capital acquired the seven-parcel property that includes its project site last year for $20 million, county property records show. It went on to convert part of the existing space into soundstages.

The company is also leading plans for a nearly 240,000-square-foot motion picture production studio and office project in the Boyle Heights area. That project is also being designed by Relativity Architects.

The company’s Glendale project would provide 113 parking spaces in a surface parking lot at the western portion of the project site, plans show.
