Cafe 86, an ube and coffee franchise, is coming to Canoga Park thanks to franchisees Patrick and Jacky Sia. The beverage and dessert-centric chain has signed on nine new franchise locations since the start of 2024, reports RestaurantNews.com. Patrick tells WNLA there is no opening date as of yet.

Cafe 86 was established in 2014 by Ginger and James Dimapasok out of a desire to share Filipino flavors with the world.

“Every item is thoughtfully crafted to deliver a burst of flavor that you have never tasted before and pays homage to the Filipino culinary heritage while infusing a modern twist that reflects the richness of the present,” says their website

The chain’s menu includes a number of different drinks like the signature Halo Halo with coconut jellies, jackfruit, boba, frosted flakes, ube ice cream, and flan; milkshakes; milk teas; coolers; blended lattes; slush drinks; espresso beverages; affogato; plus sandwiches and their signature Churrochies dessert made with grilled mochi dough, a coating of cinnamon sugar, and a drizzle of caramel.
