The Wilshire Center Koreatown Neighborhood Council Monday evening will review plans by Jamison Properties to develop a seven-story, 127-unit mixed-use apartment project near the Wilshire / Normandie Metro station, its meeting agenda shows.
The Wilshire Center development would rise at 626 S. Kingsley Drive, replacing a two-story office building with a new mixed-use structure holding 108 studio apartments and 19 one-bedrooms.
On Monday, the Wilshire Center Koreatown Neighborhood Council’s general board will discuss and possibly take action on whether to report support for the proposal to the Los Angeles planning department.
Jamison Properties is requesting Tier-4 project approvals through the city’s transit-oriented communities incentive program, such as a 55-unit density bonus and a three-story height increase. The Jamison organization subsidiary would set aside 14 units for extremely low-income households in accordance with the TOC program, according to project plans posted in January.
Along with apartments, plans call for 350 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and two levels of underground parking with 48 vehicle spaces and space for 90 bicycles.
