Laredo Taco Company is a popular Texas restaurant that is making its way to LA. The conception of Laredo Taco began in the Stripes convenience stores, but has since been taken over by 7 Eleven, which coincides with an updated convenience store concept — an “evolution.” News of these LA expansions comes from two ABC filings.

The 7 Eleven Evolution Stores are built with an ample amount of space that allows for this restaurant to exist. So far, only one Laredo Taco shop exists in SoCal, at 3504 El Cajon Blvd in San Diego. These two new locations will sit at 8768 Archibald Ave in Rancho Cucamonga and 15666 Hellman Ave in Chino

7 Eleven CEO Joseph DePinto first acquired the Laredo Taco brand back in 2017 with the goal of expanding on future concepts. According to CSP Daily News, DePinto said of the previous Stripes joint Tex-Mex restaurant: “I’ve always admired Sam Susser and what he and his team built at Stripes. Laredo Taco is part of that. We like the concept a lot.”

What Now Los Angeles reached out to DePinto, but they did not immediately respond for comment. At this time, no opening for these two storefronts is known.
