Needle, the beloved Silver Lake Cantonese restaurant, has sold all of its assets to Dos Kims, LLC, according to public records. The sale included Needle’s leasehold, furniture and equipment. Chef Ryan Wong announced on Instagram that last Friday, Dec. 15 would be Needle’s last day of service.

Co-owner of Dos Kims, LLC, Matthew Kim, confirmed to What Now Los Angeles that the incoming restaurant will be a new BBQ+Rice location, a Korean rice bowl spot which serves various traditional items like Kimchi, Bulgogi Rice Bowl, Spicy Pork Bowl, Black Pepper Chicken and their specialty Galbi Bowl, made with braised short ribs and vegetables.

This will be the eatery’s fourth location, with its other outposts in EaHo, WeHo and Venice. The Silver Lake BBQ+Rice will be open by mid-January, and hours of operation will be Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Rice bowls range from $11-$12, and drinks will be $2-$3.
