According to the Los Angeles City Planning’s website, Okemos Hospitality Group, LLC has applied for a Conditional Use Beverage (CUB) establishment at 2520 Lincoln Blvd, Venice, CA 90291 where The Golden Lion furniture and hardware showroom previously stood.

Owner Debbie Keetch confirmed that Okemos Hospitality is in the early planning stages for a restaurant at that location.

The application requests to allow on-site sale of a full line of alcoholic beverages. It includes a proposed 2,600 square-foot restaurant with 91 seats, and a 762 square-foot of patio area with 54 seats. The stated hours of operation 8am to 2am daily. It is still uncertain what type of cuisine will be served, and it does not appear that Okemos has applied for a liquor license yet.

Okemos formed an LLC on Oct. 18, 2022, and received the deed for 2530 S Lincoln Blvd from The Golden Lion on Oct. 22, 2022.
