Lively counter-service café Active Culture is expanding into Los Angeles with a new Long Beach store, located at 6420 E Pacific Coast Hwy. Ste. 170.

The first in Los Angeles and fifth overall, the new Active Culture moves into the 2nd & PCH Shopping Center around March 2022. Owners Faye Wickland, Katrina Hoye, and Jennifer and Johann Clapp started the company in 2010 with their Laguna Beach location. In the following decade, the four partners have added a new location in San Clemente, Novato, and Bend, OR. Now, Active Culture is getting ready to make its debut in Los Angeles in a couple of months.

The company takes pride in serving healthy food that tastes amazing and nourishes the body. They use whole grains, local organic eggs, and fresh fruits and vegetables in their dishes. On top of that, their unique sauces are made from scratch in-house daily. Their vegetable-forward menu is unlike anything out there, often satisfying those non-believers. Active Culture’s menu is quite extensive, with everything from burritos, nachos, tacos, and burgers to salads, acai bowls, soups, breakfast, and more.

“We have put extensive thought and care into our menu items to create unique, delicious foods that will fuel your body and soul,” according to their website. “If you are vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, soy-free, raw, cleansing, or simply looking for great-tasting food that is not over-processed or filled with chemicals, dyes, or hydrogenated oils, then you have come to the right place!”
