Back in August, What Now Los Angeles announced that famed Argentine-American Los Angeles restauranteur Adolfo Suaya would be opening the Whiskey Hotel in 2022. While anticipation has been building for this project, Suaya filed for a liquor license to open a bar at 1710 N Hudson Ave, the warehouse space behind where the hotel will rise.

Details about the bar are still not available, and it doesn’t have a name yet, but Suaya mentioned specialty beers and cocktails on draft. The only details he offered What Now Los Angeles are that it “looks like a warehouse, it’s very rugged, it’s a unique design.” Due to current pandemic-related restrictions, he is unable to open because the bar will not serve food. He hopes to be open by late summer.

Suaya is a triple threat. He’s opened hotels and restaurants here in Los Angeles and in Latin America, and hosted Latin American Foodie and Foodie Trips on the Sun Channel. He has opened Bar DeluxThe LodgeThe Phoenix, and Surly Goat, to name a few. He is also the owner of the Hotel Clásico, in Buenos Aires, and Casa Suaya Condo Hotel, a companion to the original Casa Suaya in José Ignacio. Suaya is well-known for swanky restaurants and unique bar concepts. The $35 million Whiskey Hotel will feature a whiskey fountain in the reception area.
