One of Koreatown’s karaoke restaurants is planning on reopening after approximately two and a half years of inactivity. The business, formerly named Feel, is located at 600 S. Harvard Boulevard and spans around 8,000 square feet. Updated plans call for a restaurant with 23 karaoke studios and 150 interior seats.
It closed in March of 2018 after being deemed a “nuisance” with issues like operating after hours. This is according to Bill Robinson, a representative for the current owner, Yeau Pyung Park. Robinson told What Now Los Angeles that there are new operators who are in charge of the business, and they are still in the early stages of attaining a zoning variance to allow the continued use of a restaurant with karaoke studios on the site.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the disruption that it is causing with the potential hearings, Robinson said that has put a damper on the plans, so whether or not it opens within the next year or two is still up in the air.
“It’s very tough” for all of the businesses in Koreatown, said Robinson.
