Arcadia-based Akami Sushi is seeking expansion in Toluca Lake, according to a recent ABC filing. The sushi spot is looking to open its second location at 10658 Riverside Drive. The spot currently belongs to Sushi Ran.
The sushi spot serves appetizers such as miso soup and edamame; signature sashimi and sushi; and entrees such as chicken teriyaki.
“Akami Sushi exudes warmth and welcomes guests with open arms. With its cozy atmosphere, friendly staff and a menu bursting with mouthwatering dishes, it’s the perfect place to unwind and savor a delightful meal,” the website states. “Our diverse menu caters to every palate, whether you’re looking for a leisurely dinner with loved ones, a quick lunch catch-up with friends or a solo meal at the bar.”
A representative with Akami Sushi confirmed with What Now Los Angeles that they are looking to open at the Toluca Lake location but that details are still in the works. They are hoping to open in May.
