Anna Pizza, a wood-fired pizza restaurant from the team behind Fire and Wood Catering, is preparing to open its first brick-and-mortar location in Valley Village at 12417 Burbank Blvd.

The new restaurant will move into the former home of Napoli Kosher Pizza and Gorilla Pies Pizza near Cambridge Farms Supermarket, according to the company’s Instagram. The opening is set for November 1, with customers able to enjoy handcrafted, wood-fired pizzas made with fresh ingredients. The venue will offer dine-in, takeout, and delivery, along with additional menu items beyond the catering staples.

Fire and Wood Catering, led by Chef Thomas, has been serving handcrafted Italian-inspired dishes at private events for over four years. This expansion marks the company’s transition from catering-only to a full-service restaurant. Located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley, Anna Pizza aims to bring traditional wood-fired cooking and family recipes to a broader audience.

The Valley Village location provides convenient access for residents and visitors, replacing a long-standing neighborhood pizzeria. This move reflects the brand’s growth strategy and its commitment to establishing a permanent community presence. Fire and Wood Catering will continue to operate independently for event services alongside the new restaurant.

The menu at Anna Pizza will feature wood-fired pizzas crafted with traditional recipes passed down through generations, as well as new offerings exclusive to the restaurant. Customers can expect seasonal ingredients, homemade dough, and classic Italian flavors prepared in a wood-fired oven.

Chef Thomas, the owner and founder, grew up in an Italian-American family in New York, where cooking and family meals were central to his upbringing. He developed his culinary skills through years of experience in coal and wood-fired pizza kitchens and has built a reputation in Southern California for authentic, high-quality wood-fired cuisine.

“We’ve been keeping something BIG a secret for some time now,” the company recently announced on social media. “Last month, we signed a lease and got keys for our very first brick-and-mortar location! Fire & Wood presents to you: ANNA Pizza @theannapizza. All of our grandma’s recipes we’ve served at weddings and private events for the past 4 years will now be available 7 days a week for pickup, delivery, and in-house dining, plus new menu items. To our current and future catering clients, Fire & Wood will still be bringing the heat to every event the same way we do now. This also gives us a place to host tastings and private events. We truly cannot wait to welcome you to our new home! Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way.”
