Aromas Indian Cuisine, a new Indian restaurant focused on traditional flavors with a modern approach, is getting ready to open in Sherman Oaks at 14350 Ventura Boulevard.

The new restaurant will move into the former home of Billa Indian Cuisine and SanSai Japanese Grill, according to a recently submitted liquor license application. Aromas Indian Cuisine is led by Jaspal Singh and Jaspreet Bindra. While an exact opening date has not yet been announced, filings suggest the team is actively moving forward with the project. Customers can expect a menu centered on classic Indian dishes, street food offerings, and updated fusion items.

Aromas Indian Cuisine aims to highlight the depth of Indian cuisine while presenting it in a more contemporary dining setting, according to its website. The concept blends traditional recipes with newer flavor combinations, offering both familiar and updated interpretations of Indian cuisine. The restaurant is positioned as a dine-in destination, with takeout and catering options also planned. The Sherman Oaks location will mark the brand’s first restaurant.

The ownership team brings culinary experience rooted in Indian food traditions. Jaspal Singh is a chef specializing in North Indian cuisine, drawing on family recipes and years of experience in kitchen operations and catering. Jaspreet Bindra, also known as Jesse Bindra, is a chef and food critic with extensive travel experience throughout India, which informs the menu with broader regional influences.

Menu offerings are expected to include well-known dishes such as Chicken Tikka Masala, Tandoori Chicken, and Biryani, along with Indian street food staples like Papri Chaat, Pani Puri, and Samosas. The menu will also feature fusion items, including Butter Chicken Wings and Paneer Masala Fries, along with a range of vegetarian curries. The focus is on handcrafted dishes prepared with traditional spices and techniques.

This will be an excellent landing space for Aromas Indian Cuisine, as Ventura Boulevard continues to attract a mix of neighborhood diners and destination restaurants. The Sherman Oaks location offers strong access for both residents and nearby office workers, supporting dine-in service, lunch specials, and catering orders. Once open, Aromas Indian Cuisine plans to serve customers through dine-in, takeout, delivery, and private event catering.
