Moonbridge Doughnut Studio is opening near El Dorado Park in January, according to a post on their Instagram. The shop will have over 20 flavors of artisanal donuts, including brioche, old fashioned, buttermilk cake, crullers, bear claws, and fritters.
Owners Anabelle Brown and Kim Gros set out to create a joyful space with delicious confections for the community.
“A beautiful blur of a December has gone by. We’ve been busy with buildout and training our dream team! All of us can’t wait to open our doors in January. Soft opening dates to be announced soon. The merriest of holidays to our dearest community,” the pair said on Instagram.
This is not Brown and Gros’ first time at the rodeo. Brown worked as a head baker and manager in professional kitchens like Honey & Butter and Frost Your Cookie, and also has her own themed sugar cookie business. Her beautiful designs are influenced by her Japanese heritage and nostalgia, often portraying anime characters. Gros is also the mind behind SteelCraft, an outdoor urban eatery built with repurposed shipping containers. SteelCraft has three locations in the L.A. area.
