Astronaut City, a new live entertainment venue, performing arts school, and social club, where creativity and connection take center stage, is getting ready to make its debut in Arcadia at 1037 S Baldwin Ave.

Inspired by celestial exploration, this new concept is a place where performers, creatives, and dreamers come together to shine, according to the company’s website. Offering live shows, workshops, private events, resources to creatives, and a welcoming community, Astronaut City will be launchpad to discover new talent, connect with like-minded individuals, and enjoy out-of-this-world entertainment. Owner, writer, and comedian Teresa Lo expects to open this new concept in late Summer 2025.

Astronaut City will move into the former home of Golden Horse Cocktails and Host Bar, according to a recent liquor license application. This concept was born from both passion and necessity, according to the company’s website. After surviving a violent, public assault by a stalker, Teresa vowed to channel her negative experience into something positive, both for herself and for the artistic community. She promised to make a space where creatives could thrive—a venue that nurtures talent, celebrates creativity, and prioritizes safety.

A part of Astronaut City will be the Astronaut Club, an exclusive membership community for creatives and art enthusiasts. The venue offers a variety of benefits, including discounts on drinks, members-only club hours, private events, and more. Membership options range from a $14.99 monthly plan to a $149 yearly VIP membership, with lifetime memberships available at special rates. Founding members will receive permanent recognition inside the venue and exclusive merchandise.

Members can enjoy perks such as early access to tickets, unlimited guest admissions to events, and discounts on drinks and merchandise. Exclusive events include members-only lounge nights, open mic sessions, writing and business workshops, and artist showcases. The Astronaut Club aims to provide a vibrant space for artistic expression and collaboration, welcoming individuals from diverse creative fields. The venue reserves the right to accept or deny memberships, with no refunds except for rejected applicants.
