Baby Blues BBQ, the hybrid-style BBQ restaurant inspired by family recipes, is looking to move to a new location in Los Angeles after a fire at its Venice site at 444 Lincoln Blvd.

The fire occurred at the end of last month, and owner Danny Fischer announced on the company’s website the site has temporarily closed due to fire damage. While ownership plans to rebuild this location, they announced they are working on a new location, likely in Los Angeles County. The company’s only other location in San Francisco at 3149 Mission Street will remain open. The Southern-inspired BBQ restaurant has been featured on Diners, Drive-ins, Dives, Food Network, and Travel Channel.

The national coverage doesn’t come from nowhere, as the restaurant’s signature favorites sound mouth-watering. Some fan favorites include banana pudding, Mac-n-cheese, voted “Best in LA,” Texas-style sliced brisket, and pulled pork sandwich, with Brined and seasoned pork shoulder, smoked with Guinness Beer, then hand pulled. Other sides include coleslaw, collard greens, beef Louisiana hot links, baked beans, salads, pig candy, and porky’s fries with pork, jus, cheddar ales sauce, and house sauce. These go great with the restaurant’s brisket burger or crispy chicken sandwich.

For larger groups, the restaurant offers the butcher’s block with eight bones baby back ribs, eight bones Memphis-style ribs, half smoked chicken, ½ lb pulled pork, ½ lb brisket, or the Memphis-style ribs platter with Square cut, long-bone pork ribs, rubbed top to bottom with our blend of dry spices, slow smoked, then grilled and lightly basted with house BBQ sauce. To try a little bit of everything, the restaurant offers mix-and-match options, such as the 3 & 1, where customers can choose three types of meat, one side, and a cornbread.
