The iconic and leafy location that housed Cliff’s Edge for 16 years in Silver Lake will soon welcome diners again.

Bacari is slated to move into the space later this year, as first reported by Eater LA. Cliff’s Edge announced its permanent closure in October.

It’s very early in the process and they have no prospective open date at this time, confirmed Bacari co-owner Danny Kronfli during a phone interview with What Now Los Angeles on Monday. Kronfli said they have some small cosmetic changes planned for the restaurant, located at 3626 Sunset Blvd., in Los Angeles.

Bacari is a Venetian-inspired small plates restaurant featuring Mediterranean-influenced dishes by Chef Lior Hillel.

Founded by brothers Danny and Robert Kronfli, Bacari is a family-run restaurant group with four Bacari locations in the greater LA area and Nature’s Brew, a casual coffee bar and kitchen located near the University of Southern California.

Bacari offers a rotating curation of small-production wines, unique cocktails, and eclectic beers from around the world. They are also known for their one-of-a-kind 90-minute open bar special.

Cliff’s Edge featured what was often considered the most beautiful patio in LA. Big leafy trees created an atmosphere that was like a cozy, intimate hideaway for diners. Bacari should fit right in with the established ambience, their restaurants are comfortable, with intimate dining areas featuring wine bottle ceilings and chalkboard menus.

“It is with a heavy heart that we have to inform you that Cliff’s Edge is closed for good,” restaurant officials wrote on social media in October.

They thanked their guests and staff for the last 16 years with the “magical restaurant.” The hard work, passion, and dedication of the employees made it all possible, they wrote.

“We are truly grateful,” the post reads. “We hope our paths will cross again in another place in another time.”
