BOLT, the breakfast eatery that debuted in 2016 in Little Armenia, is expanding with a second location not too far from its original digs.
Cha Cha Cha, a new 24-unit condo project from 4Site Real Estate in Virgil Village at 654 N Virgil Ave., will house the planned restaurant.
Both Little Armenia and Virgil Village are part of the East Hollywood subdistrict.
BOLT, Co-Owned by Dan Guerrera, Jake Taylor, and Robert Campbell, “started with the idea to open a New York-style breakfast restaurant in East Hollywood,” according to the company’s website.
“The guys wanted to create a place where people would hang out and enjoy a breakfast burrito, a great cup of coffee, and some house-made baked goods.”
BOLT now serves lunch and will expand its concept in Cha Cha Cha with a few additions not seen in the original restaurant, a staffer Thursday told What Now Los Angeles (WNLA) over the phone.
An opening timeline is unclear.
Guerrera, Taylor, and Campbell did not immediately respond to a request for comment by WNLA.
Cha Cha Cha is situated on the corner of Melrose and Virgil Avenues on land previously occupied by a Caribbean restaurant for which the residential community got its name.
“We have the certificate of occupancy and are [50 percent] sold,” Joy Bolger, the rep overseeing Condo sales, told WNLA.
“[The condos] are flying off the shelves.”
