Coastal pan-Mediterranean restaurant Issima will be taking charge of Kimpton La Peer Hotel’s indoor dining, poolside tables, and private rooftop lounge area.
According to Eater Los Angeles, Marissa and Matt Hermer of Boujis Group have enlisted chef Michael Fiorelli, who also runs the group’s Olivetta and The Draycott, to devise the menu at Issima. Fiorelli’s Italian roots and talent will turn out “everything from jamon starters and lots of seafood towers to steaks cooked over mesquite wood.” The drink menu will feature wine and cocktails from “beverage director Mel Meza, and flashy and colorful design work from Tom Parker of Fettle, in collaboration with the Hermers.”
Expect DJs to accompany those colorful drinks.
Issima plans to be open daily from 5 p.m. to late night and hopes to formally open its doors within weeks.
Issima will certainly be a hit amongst Angelenos as they step out of their homes in search of good times, food, and drink by the pool.
