Buffalo Wild Wings, a popular American sports bar and restaurant known for its chicken wings, sauces, and lively sports atmosphere, is slated to open in South Los Angeles at 3800 S Figueroa Street.
The sports bar and restaurant will occupy a ground-level corner suite within a mixed-use building that was completed in 2022. The new location spans 5,331 square feet, including 4,896 square feet of interior space and a 435-square-foot outdoor patio along Figueroa Street. Plans call for 132 indoor seats and 27 on the patio, according to a recent approval from the Los Angeles City Planning Department.
Buffalo Wild Wings was granted a conditional use permit to sell and service a full line of alcoholic beverages for on-site consumption. Alcohol service will be permitted both indoors and on the outdoor patio, with the restaurant expected to operate daily from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. Alcohol sales will end at 1 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
No live entertainment or off-site alcohol sales are proposed. The establishment will feature indoor speakers and a jukebox, with a designated area for video games also planned. A separate take-out area will allow customers to pick up food orders. The restaurant will join a growing number of dining and retail options near Exposition Park and is expected to activate the pedestrian corridor at the intersection of Figueroa and 38th Street.
A public hearing on the application was held on May 8, with minimal opposition. The Los Angeles Police Department recommended a few operating conditions, including amplified sound limits and consideration of earlier closing hours. Final conditions of approval are expected to reflect ongoing discussions between the city and the applicant. The timeline for this opening is currently unknown.
