Cafe Cuate appears to be looking to open a new bakery and coffee shop and production bakery at 240 Long Beach Blvd, according to permits filed with the City of Long Beach. The permits call for tenant improvements to both Suite 100 and 600 at the address for a 1,534-square-foot bakery and coffee spot and a 1,490-square-foot production bakery.

Cafe Cuate currently operates as a specialty coffee roaster in Long Beach, roasting Latin American-based coffee beans.

“We’re committed to sourcing clean quality green coffees, intentionally roasted to achieve a natural balance of flavors, characteristic of each terroir,” the website states.

Arturo Enciso is behind the coffee brand. When contacted by What Now Los Angeles, Enciso declined to comment at this time. Enciso is also behind local sourdough panadería Gusto Bread.
