California Fish Grill appears to be coming to West Covina, according to a recent liquor license application. The fast casual fish joint’s newest outpost will be located at 310 S. California Ave.

The company-owned chain prides itself on only using responsibly sourced seafood in its dishes. “Our wild-caught fish are harvested through the least invasive means possible, to ensure the ecosystem is preserved and to avoid catching unwanted species. We insist on methods that limit untargeted bycatch,” says their website. “For our wide range of farm-raised seafood, we commit to working with certified-sustainable fisheries as possible, and with those who share our dedication to responsibly sourced seafood.”

For wild-caught varieties, customers can choose between yellowfin tuna, rockfish, sockeye salmon, clams, and calamari. For farm-raised, the grill offers Atlantic salmon, Louisiana delta catfish, tilapia, shrimp, sea bass, and Swai.

California Fish Grill’s menu includes a wide range of grilled and fried fish plates, Cali bowls, tacos, sandwiches, starters, and sides.

An opening date for the new location has not been announced.
