Chris N Eddy’s, a fast-casual eatery known for its original-recipe smashed beef sliders, is getting ready to open in Van Nuys at 14523 Sherman Way.
The company’s new location is set to move into the former Menchie’s location in Sherman Square, according to a social media announcement from the company. Although an exact opening date has not been announced, the company’s new location is expected to open later this year. Customers can expect the same limited but focused menu, including their signature sliders, crispy tots, and seasoned fries, all served in a laid-back setting.
Chris N Eddy’s was founded during the early days of the pandemic by two childhood best friends, Chris Karimian and Edgar Poghosyan. The brand quickly gained popularity across Los Angeles for its minimal, four-ingredient smashed sliders and late-night service hours. Their original location in Hollywood has built a strong following since launching in a pop-up format in a parking lot.
The menu is streamlined and focused, with just two slider options: the Single and the Double, both served with grilled onions, cheese, and house sauce. Combo meals come with either version of the sliders, paired with Chris-Cut Fries or Eddy’s Tots. Their proprietary dipping sauce is a staple for both the sandwiches and sides.
The Van Nuys location marks the next step for the growing brand as it extends further into the San Fernando Valley. Positioned in a high-traffic area near retail and residential hubs, the site is well-placed to attract both daytime and late-night crowds.
Chris N Eddy’s currently operates one brick-and-mortar location in Hollywood, with hours running until 2 a.m. on weekends. The Sherman Square expansion reflects continued demand for the brand’s focused menu and casual, quick-service model.
