The end is nigh for Eagle Rock Public House. The six-year-old restaurant and brewpub announced on Tuesday night a “final countdown” to its permanent shutter which is on the books for Saturday, November 14. “We still have a few services left and would love to see as many of you as possible before closing our doors,” the social media post states. “We tried our damndest [sic] against all odds and we have no misgivings about our efforts. It has been a true pleasure and we have nothing but high hopes for the future.”
As with a growing list of LA eateries, Eagle Rock Public House Owners Ting Su and Jeremy Raub blame the financial hardships brought on by the novel coronavirus pandemic as the deciding factor in closing the doors. “Words cannot express how much we appreciate the love, support, and good times shared in this beloved building,” according to the post. “However, our time has come to an end.”
Leading up to its final day, Eagle Rock Public House will host a series of events including a “Seafood Extravaganza” on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., at 1627 Colorado Blvd. “Nothing but gratitude and pride to have had the opportunity to be a part of this great community.
