The beloved neighborhood bistro Little Beast has come under new ownership at its Eagle Rock location at 1496 Colorado Blvd.

The family restaurant has served the community of Eagle Rock for nine years under chef/ owner Sean Lowenthal. Now, local restaurateurs Monique King and Paul Rosenbluh are stepping in to take control of the restaurant and add to their impressive collection of restaurants. The longtime locals are also the owners of retro diner Cindy’s across the street and Fox’s in Altadena. The duo has recently obtained control of the business and promised not to change much of the restaurant’s design, name, and focus.

While the restaurant’s core will remain the same, the owners plan to implement a few changes slowly over time. One example is roasted lamb shoulder for the bolognese instead of ground lamb, according to Eater LA. Other than the slight tweaks over time, longtime visitors can expect the same charming 1911-era converted Craftsman home that locals have visited for almost a decade.

“My idea of a neighborhood bistro will be more globally influenced, and I’m also going to touch on my deep relationship with this city as a native Angeleno,” Kinga tells Eater LA. “We’re keeping the burger. It’s definitely going to remain a neighborhood bistro.”
