Glendale Galleria will be home to the restaurant's first U.S. location and plans call for up to four more in the next three years across SoCal.

Glendale Galleria in early-to-mid-February will welcome the first domestic Cereal Twister, pending permitting with the City.

“We sell cereal, but in different formats,” Carlos Barros, one of the company’s co-owners, in a telephone interview told What Now Los Angeles Friday.

The quick-service eatery offers over 100 cereals, available as shakes, smoothies, and açai bowls, to name a few options for how the Spain-based company will be serving up America’s favorite breakfast food.

Special cereals imported from Europe will be added to the menu’s known local favorites like Fruit Loops and Frosted Flakes.

Similarly to the existing lone store in Spain—called Cereal Twister Cafe—future SoCal locations will also sell coffee, something not possible in Glendale Galleria because of the proximity to Pete’s.

“We are living in Glendale and we think L.A. County has a lot of opportunities for our team to expand Cereal Twister,” Barros said.

With SoCal shopping malls and university campuses on the target lease list, Barros and his team are looking to open a total of five locations over the next three years including the Glendale Galleria store.

“Dreaming is free,” Barros said.

Franchising will eventually be added to the mix.

Cereal Twister is only one of several new tenants slated to debut this year in Glendale Galleria.

On the food and beverage side of things, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar and Outback are coming soon to the shopping center, and for retail, expect storefronts from Aerie, American Eagle, Charming Charlie, and Suit Avenue.
