The pandemic-born breakfast concept EggBred has signed deals with five franchisees to expand throughout Southern California, including Long Beach, located at 777 E Ocean Blvd.

The new Long Beach location will be owned and operated by Goldie Bolden and her husband, Zach. Goldie tells What Now Los Angeles they hope to open this location in the first quarter of 2023. The other pair of franchisees, Daniel and Jackie Hernandez, are currently looking for a site for their first EggBred, hoping to land in either Whittier, Downey, or Pico Rivera, according to CEO Albert Shim. Daniel Hernandez is also a local franchisee of a Nektar Juice Bar in Whittier.

EggBred is also planning to open four other stores in Orange County sometime next year, according to a press release. This is the first time Shim has expanded the La Habra restaurant, which opened in 2020. When these new locations open, customers can expect lo-fi hip-hop, freshly brewed coffee from Rhost Coffee, and plenty of other drink and food options, such as breakfast sandwiches, English muffins, and milk buns. All locations will be 1,400 square feet and operate during breakfast and lunch hours.

“We’re passionate about quality and the consistency of our food. Holding onto the philosophy of cooking everything fresh and from scratch, we make our sauces in-house, use cage-free eggs, serve our own proprietary blends of proteins, bake our own cheddar biscuits and source our delicious milk buns and English muffins from a local artisan bakery.”
