Einstein Bros. Bagels, an American chain of bagel cafes, is preparing to open at least one new location in the Greater Los Angeles Area by the end of August.

The first location will open at 2206 S Atlantic Boulevard in Monterey Park, inside the Atlantic Square Shopping Center, and a second store will be located at 1577 S Harbor Boulevard in Fullerton, according to a company representative. Both locations will be corporate-owned and not franchised. While the goal is to open both stores before the end of the month, that timeline remains subject to change.

These new stores expand the company’s presence in Southern California, where it already operates several locations. Einstein Bros. Bagels is part of Panera Brands, which also includes Panera Bread and Caribou Coffee. The brand operates more than 600 locations across the United States, offering a mix of corporate and franchise models. The company has not yet released detailed opening dates, menus, or operating hours for either site.

However, when these two new locations open, customers can expect Einstein Bros. Bagels’ standard offerings, which include fresh-baked bagels, double-whipped cream cheese shmears, egg sandwiches, and coffee. Both new locations are expected to adhere to the brand’s typical fast-casual format, focusing on breakfast and lunch service.

Both Monterey Park and Fullerton offer strong visibility and steady foot traffic, making them strategic choices for new Einstein Bros. Bagels locations. Atlantic Square in Monterey Park is a bustling shopping center situated in a residential area, surrounded by schools and local businesses, resulting in consistent daily traffic. The Fullerton location, located on South Harbor Boulevard, is near major roadways and close to retail centers and the downtown area, which attracts students from nearby Fullerton College and California State University, Fullerton. Both areas are well-positioned to support breakfast and lunch crowds, including commuters, students, and families looking for convenient, fast-casual options.
