San Diego-based wing spot Epic Wings continues to expand within Los Angeles, with a new location coming to University Park, located at 530 W. 27th St.

The new 1,951 square-foot fast food restaurant will move into the ground floor of the West 27th Apartment Complex in Spring or Summer 2022. Epic Wings continues to expand within Los Angeles, recently announcing new stores coming to Van Nuys and Long Beach. The company also has plans for a new location coming to the Cudahy Plaza, located at 8017 S Atlantic Ave, with no opening date. The new Cudahy location will be run by franchisee Kevin Davis, who recently signed a 39 store franchise agreement.

Epic Wings started when the Sacco Family packed up their Oldsmobile and went to California from New York to bring buffalo wings to the west coast. In 1982 the family opened their first location in San Diego, naming it Wings N’ Things. Since chicken wings were unheard of at this time, customers were reluctant to try them, so employees would stand outside the restaurant with free samples. Now, the chain chicken restaurant has over two dozen locations in California and Arizona, with plans to open many more.

It’s no surprise why Epic Wings is becoming one of the fastest-growing restaurant chains in the country. The company never compromises on the taste and quality of its food. None of their locations feature a freezer, heat lamp, or microwave, ensuring their strips and wings never compromise on flavor. If that wasn’t enough, the breadsticks are made from scratch every day, and their sauces and dips are handmade. Residents of Los Angeles will have many more opportunities to try Epic Wings by the end of the year.
