Erewhon, a Southern California-based grocery store offering specialty groceries and hot meals, is preparing to open three new locations in Los Angeles County.

The company will start by opening a new location in Manhattan Beach at 1700 Rosecrans Avenue, which was the former home of Mother’s Market, according to the Los Angeles Times. After this, the company will open a new location in West Hollywood at 8550 Santa Monica Boulevard, which was previously a Sprouts grocery store. Finally, Erewhon will open a new location at the end of the year in Glendale at 520 N. Glendale Avenue.

When these three locations open by the end of the year, the total number of locations will be 13 in Los Angeles, where the brand is very popular, especially among celebrities. Erewhon will serve all its locations from a concentrated central kitchen that prepares food in batches. While Los Angeles County is the only city where Erewhon lives, the brand may eventually expand throughout the country.

The Antocis Family has kept the concept in California thus far, but they have always considered expanding beyond Los Angeles County. While nothing has been confirmed, there are rumors that Erewhon will eventually expand to Arizona, Nevada, or New York. While any city will gladly welcome a health-conscious brand with over-the-top prices, Los Angeles County seems like the perfect place for the grocery store to live for now.
