Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Cuisine, which has locations in San Francisco, Menlo Park, Oakland, and two in Portland, is making its Los Angeles debut in West Adams, located at 5560 West Adams Blvd.
The new restaurant will have 2,000 square feet of indoor space with an equally large patio space. First reported by Eater LA, Farmhouse Kitchen was supposed to open in Summer 2020, but plans have been severely delayed. Now, owner Kasem “Pop” Saengsawang tells What Now Los Angeles he hopes to open the company’s sixth location in the second week of August 2022. Pop tells Eater this area will be “an ideal place to introduce Farmhouse Kitchen to a city that will appreciate the lively dishes.”
The self-proclaimed Thai New Generation restaurant will focus on bringing customers adventurous, bold flavors of traditional and non-traditional dishes using the freshest ingredients. These flavors have led the company to be voted the “Best Thai Restaurant” in San Francisco by Michelin Bib Gourmand 2016 – 2019. When the new restaurant opens, customers can expect fresh ingredients from local farmers’ markets. Some popular dishes include pineapple fried rice, lobster pad Thai, crispy branzino, pad kee mow, and yellow curry.
“My goal is to make sure people get enough spice,” Saengsawang says. “It is all about the spice. The spice extends life, and we strive to provide the freshest pure ingredients in everything we serve, from our Thai street food to our fancier entrees. We believe that Thai cuisine will never die. We believe the spiciness will last long, forever. We invite you to come and be transported to the streets of Thailand.”
