Flouring LA — a unique bakery concept using only sustainably sourced, organic ingredients from local farmers and vendors — will soon open its first brick-and-mortar, according to Forbes.
A What Now Los Angeles interview with Founder Heather Wong is forthcoming. In the meantime, here’s what we do know:
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Wong opened Flouring LA in 2020 after a 13-year career in the baking sphere.
Wong previously operated a popular blog and custom dessert delivery service, The Scootabaker, which featured creations highlighting her Chinese and Mexican heritage.
She also spent time at Bottega Louie, Sweetsalt, Cascabel, and Josephine Bakery serving as Executive Pastry Chef.
In addition to a brick-and-mortar, a creation of Wong’s will be featured at Monarch, Humberto Leon’s new Los Angeles restaurant. There, customers can order an exclusive black sesame brownie from the opening menu with Wong’s signature twist.
