Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse — the churrascaria concept with 50 locations in Brazil, the U.S., Mexico, and the Middle East — is opening yet another location at 2250 E Thousand Oaks Blvd at The Lakes at Thousand Oaks shopping center in what appears to be a vacated P.F. Chang’s. The new Thousand Oaks branch will join California Pizza Kitchen and Lassens Natural Foods & Vitamins.

This location falls in line nicely with CEO Barry McGowan’s plans for the brand as all new outposts are to be situated in luxurious high-traffic retail and hospitality destinations. What’s more, all forthcoming Fogo de Chao’s will feature enhanced design and innovation platforms that complement each restaurant while honoring Fogo’s 40-plus-year brand heritage.

This will be the company’s sixth LA location fresh on the heels of the recently-opened El Segundo and Woodland Hills locations. Moving forward, McGowan and team have their sights set on California, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia, Mexico, Canada, Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil, Turkey, Philippines, Costa Rica, El Salvador, and the Middle East for further expansion.

“Fogo is in a prime growth position to scale significantly in the years ahead as we target 15 percent annual growth through company-owned restaurants, plus an additional international franchise development strategy,” McGowan said in a press release. “Our unique dining experience has propelled Fogo’s expansion efforts and driven demand in new and existing markets. We’re excited to bring Fogo to more guests domestically and internationally in the years ahead.”
