As first reported by Toddrickallen.com, a concept called Poukei is readying to take over the shuttered Big Fish Little Fish location at Westfield Century City Shopping Mall on Santa Monica Boulevard.

The poke bowl and burrito joint is one of many concepts by Vegas-based LLC HIG Management, which also owns eateries like Chickenow, Thai Max, The Lobstah Trap, and Bourbon Street Kitchen (amongst a handful of other restaurants).

HIG MGT Director of Operations Bobby Sabas did not respond to WNLA‘s request for comment, and therefore a specific debut date for the Century City Poukei is unknown. However, it appears the space is currently under light construction. It also seems that the Vegas outpost, located on the Las Vegas strip at the Miracle Mile Shops, is permanently closed.

“Poukei is home to the freshest & most creative sushi burritos…,” explains the HIG MGT website. “We have many delicious combinations, all of which [are] crafted by our talented and experienced sushi chef: Chef Eric Ou. You can choose from our set menu and customize to your heart’s content, or build your own creation from the ground up! We let you decide what soothes your cravings.”

The eatery’s Instagram also advertises beer, but it’s unclear if that facet will carry over to the California store. This article will be updated as more information becomes available.
