A new restaurant is ready to replace the currently empty space, located at 6374-D W Sunset Boulevard, at The Dome in Hollywood. Wildbird is expected to open in the next two to four weeks with a menu focused on free-range, antibiotic-free chicken marinated in a citrus-herb blend of spices. There are also sides that include Mexican street corn, chips and guacamole, and house salsa alongside a variety of plant-forward menu items like salads and tacos.

Oscar Rembao, the owner of Wildbird, told What Now Los Angeles that he has been working on this idea since undergrad and was hoping to open the restaurant in April, but was unable to do so due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The space was formerly filled by Roadside Eats from the Kaufman Restaurant Group and chef Dave Northrup. Roadside Eats closed in mid-2014. Seattle-based conveyor belt sushi restaurant Blue C Sushi later opened at the spot before closing in January 2019 due to “unexpected financial and other circumstances.”

Earlier this year in the same complex, Go Get Em Tiger opened a take-away-only spot in space formerly used as the Cinerama Dome’s box office along Sunset Boulevard.
