Gott’s Roadside, the beloved Bay Area restaurant icon known for its crave-worthy American roadside fare, is expanding its presence in Southern California with a second location slated to open in Santa Monica at 401 Wilshire Boulevard, Site 140.

Just a few blocks from the beach and steps from the Third Street Promenade in the former home to Osteria, this new location marks a significant milestone in Gott’s California expansion, according to a press release. Spanning 6,600 square feet of indoor space and 2,200 square feet of outdoor patio space, the new Gott’s Roadside will serve the greater Santa Monica area, including Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Venice Beach, and Marina del Rey, and is expected to open in 2026.

“After years of searching for an ideal coastal location for Gott’s, we couldn’t be more pleased that the first one will be in Santa Monica,” Gott’s Roadside President Clay Walker said in a press release. “We know our fanbase is excited about our upcoming Farmers Market location, and we didn’t want everyone west of the 405 to be disappointed.”

After 25 years of success in Northern California, Gott’s entry into the vibrant Los Angeles market is an exciting new chapter, offering the company an opportunity to blend its iconic flavors with the dynamic culinary scene of Southern California. The two new locations will celebrate the region’s fresh, local ingredients while staying true to Gott’s wine country roots—creating a menu that’s as bold and flavorful as Los Angeles itself. With a nod to the legacy that earned Gott’s a James Beard Award in 2006 for America’s Classics category, these two new locations promise to deliver the same high-quality, unforgettable dining experience that fans know and love, now with a distinctly SoCal twist.

Since its founding, Gott’s has grown from one restaurant to eight locations, serving over fifty thousand guests per week. Gott’s first locations outside Napa Valley were San Francisco’s Ferry Building and Napa’s Oxbow Market, contributing to these destinations becoming Bay Area centerpieces of artisanal food culture. Three suburban locations followed, along with a licensed location at SFO and Thrive City outside the Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors. In fall 2025, Gott’s will open its ninth location and flagship Los Angeles restaurant at The Original Farmers Market, followed by the Santa Monica location in 2026.
